Under-17 team where he finished second in scoring. In 2003-04 played

Talent Analysis
Porter has a tremendous amount of ability and skill, regardless of his
size. He is a solid two-way player, who has soft hands and great
vision. He can find ways to score, but does a better job setting up
his linemates. He is a confident player, makes good decisions and has
a solid work ethic.

|
Future
Phoenix may hold the rights to Porter, but he will be changing street
addresses in Ann Arbor during the summer of 2004. He has committed to
the University of Michigan, where he will be able to step in and
produce for the Wolverines immediately. |
What The Coyotes Are Saying:
Kevin is one of the captains for
the U.S.A. Under 18 Team that also played in Belarus and he led Team
U.S.A. to the finals. This guy is a good player, he is a good two-way
player and has a lot of skill. We think he has the heart of a lion. He is
a really good competitor and you never apologize when you take a player
like Kevin. - Coyotes director of amateur scouting Vaughn Karpan.
