History
Chad
Kolarik is another player coming out of the United States National
Team Development Program (Ann Arbor, MI). On the Under-17 Team during
the 2002-03 season, Kolarik not only led his age group in scoring, but
he also led the entire U.S. program. When the 2003-04 season came
around, he slowed down a bit and ranked third in scoring on the
Under-18 Team. Kolarik also took home a silver medal from the 2004
IIHF World U-18 Tournament in Minsk, Belarus.

Talent Analysis
Kolarik is a great skater with speed and quickness. He can create
chances on his own and has ability to finish strong. He becomes more
effective the stronger he plays. He has soft hands and is a good
puckhandler. He is a very determined player. Even though he is a
offensive juggernaut, Kolarik needs to focus on his defensive
presence. |

Future
Kolarik has signed on to play with the University of Michigan for the
2004-05 campaign. The CCHA is a great league, filled with stiff
competition. He needs to develop a better overall game and work on his
defensive skills. The Wolverines Hockey Program has a strong
reputation for developing great hockey players and great athletes.
Kolarik is in good hands and should develop into an explosive player.
